Five semis were involved in two crashes on Interstate 29 north of Rock Port Wednesday afternoon (September 23).
The Missouri State Highway Patrol did not mention if the highway was closed or if either crash involved hazardous materials.
The first collision involved one semi striking a second that was parked on the shoulder. The driver of the semi that struck the second, a 57 year old man from Tennessee, was taken to the hospital in Fairfax with minor injuries.
The second collision was a chain reaction involving three semis. While two of the three semis were stopped for the first crash, the third semi rear ended the second and the second semi rear ended the first. The driver of the first semi that was struck, a 39 year old man from Utah, was taken to the hospital in Fairfax with minor injuries.
No names were released.
