The Maryville city council agrees to host an American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) tournament at the Mozingo Lake golf course for another three years.

The city is responsible for paying $50,000 dollars each year. The contract says the AJGA agrees to play an active role in securing donations and tournament partners that reduces the city's financial commitment.
This year's inaugural event drew 78 players and 320 net visitors. The estimated economic impact for the city of Maryville was $341,00 dollars.
The first tournament also generated $20,000 dollars for five high school golf programs. Most of the money went to Maryville High School because of the size of the team and of the contributors were from Maryville.
