A driver getting out of her S-U-V in Clearmont did not put the vehicle in park.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says that led to the vehicle striking and dragging the driver.
The 68 year old woman who was not identified was taken to the hospital in Maryville with moderate injuries.
This happened Wednesday morning (September 23) on First Street (Highway C) in Clearmont.
After the SUV struck the driver, the vehicle came to rest in the ditch on the north side of the street.
