In the centennial year of Northwest Missouri State's Martindale Hall, is the ribbon cutting celebrating the completion of a $17.5 million dollar renovation and expansion.
Speakers at the ribbon cutting program were Northwest president Dr. Lance Tatum, the chair of the Northwest school of health science and wellness Dr. Rhonda Beemer, provost and chief academic officer Dr. Rose Marie Ward, and a graduate student in health science and wellness Sam Leaver.
Following the ribbon cutting, Dr. Tatum and Dr. Ward held a news conference.

Martindale is the home of the Northwest school of health science and wellness, which will include the new center for rural health and the return of the university's bachelor of science degree in nursing that will start next fall.
86 private donors contributed $9 nine million dollars and the Missouri legislature awarded an $8.5 half million dollar grant.
