A Gentry County man was killed in a crash in Daviess County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says this happened Tuesday morning (September 15) north of Jamesport at the intersection of Highway 190 and Highway P. The man who died, a 43 year old man from Darlington, was driving a car that failed to stop and struck the passenger side of a F-250 pickup truck. The collision caused the truck to overturn and come to rest in a field on its top. The driver of the truck, a 77 year old man, and a passenger, a 75 year old woman who are both from Gilman City, were taken to a hospital in North Kansas City with serious injuries. No names were released.
The southbound lanes of Interstate 35 north of Cameron was the location of a three vehicle crash Sunday afternoon (September 13) where the driver of a Ford F-250 pickup failed in its attempt to drive between a semi and a SUV. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the pickup struck the other vehicles, went down an embankment, overturned, and came to rest on its top. The driver of the pickup, a 63 year man from Barnes, Kansas was taken to a hospital in Liberty with serious injuries. The drivers of the other vehicles were not injured. No names were released.
Chillicothe Police responded last Friday night (September 11) to a call from the driver of an electric bicycle that they were struck by a SUV that left the scene. The report did not give the extent of the victim's injury. With the assistance of video from a nearby address and witnesses, the driver of the SUV was found and taken to the police department. The driver of the SUV was ticketed on undisclosed charges and released. No names were released.
A two-vehicle wreck injured two people in Grundy County last Friday morning (September 11). According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a car driven by a 17 year old woman from Galt was pulling out of a driveway onto Highway 6 when the car struck the driver's side of a SUV driven by a 53 year old woman from Trenton. Both drivers were taken to the hospital in Trenton with minor injuries. No names were released.
A building in Union Star was struck by a SUV last week. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the driver, a 70 year old woman from King City, was taken to the hospital in St. Joseph with moderate injuries. The name of the driver was not released. The patrol's website did not disclose the extent of damage to the building located on Highway 169. But the SUV was totaled from the crash that happened September 8th.
