St. Joseph's Allied Arts Council has started its annual membership drive.
This year's theme is "Make the Arts Part of Your Story".
14 organizations are part of the council, which works to expand access to creative experiences, champion arts education, and bring public art and cultural opportunities to St. Joseph.

Every person has an arts story. It may begin with a first role onstage, a favorite song performed live, a child discovering the joy of creating or a public sculpture that makes a familiar place feel new.
Beginning Tuesday, September 1, the Allied Arts Council invites individuals and businesses to “Make the Arts Part of Your Story” by supporting its 2026 Membership Drive.
Continuing through October 31, the annual campaign directly supports the Allied Arts Council’s work to connect people, organizations and ideas; expand access to creative experiences; champion arts education; and bring public art and cultural opportunities into the community.
“The arts shape the stories of our lives—from the experiences we remember to the community we create together,” said Jessica Agnew, executive director of the Allied Arts Council. “When someone supports the Membership Drive, they help ensure more people have opportunities to experience, create and connect through the arts.”
Membership is not an admission pass or a package of benefits. It is a charitable investment in a more vibrant, welcoming and connected community. Every gift, regardless of size, helps make meaningful arts experiences more accessible throughout St. Joseph and Northwest Missouri.
Whether the arts have inspired you, introduced you to new people, helped your child discover a talent or created a memory your family still treasures, your story matters. By becoming a member, you can help make the arts part of someone else’s story, too.
