A church just outside Maryville's city limits may soon be inside the city limits.
That's after the Maryville city council on Tuesday night (September 8) approved a voluntary annexation application for Calvary Chapel.

Public works director Matt Smith said the annexation is so the church can be connected to the city sewer service.
Councilwoman Erin Allen had two questions for staff before final action is considered September 28th.
One involves the timelines where the church has to remove its existing sewage holding tank and connect to the city service.
Allen also wants to know how the church property will be zoned once it is annexed.
Tuesday's council action was on a four to nothing vote. Mayor John McBride, who was absent, is on the church board.
