MoDOT west area engineer for the Northwest district Matthew Stine tells KXCV-KRNW News that on Highway 71 south of Maryville, the work zone where J-turns are being built will have a reduced speed limit of 55 miles per hour through the conclusion of the project.
And repairs are underway on a stretch of Highway 148 near Pickering which Stine says will result in a smoother surface that will prevent water from ponding and freezing this winter.
Stine also brought up other upcoming MoDOT projects involving repaving Highway E and Highway EE in Nodaway County and Highway 46 in Atchison County.
