Dr. Rose Marie Ward, responding to a question from a faculty member, said "We are still very much invested in having on ground international students at Northwest. We are seeing the lag time still for students to get their visas to come to the United States incredibly long."

Ward also said she "brought with me an agreement with Christ University in India which we are formalizing right now." Ward added the institution has "a lot of programs that overlap with us. And it's a huge opportunity not only for that great exchange of students", "it's also a great opportunity for us to connect with the faculty there who are incredibly eager to do research and to support and think about ways we can overlap in new ways."

The provost says Northwest is pursuing international agreements with specific schools as opposed to what she described as "a broad call in a certain area."

Bill Oliver has returned to his alma mater as News Director for KXCV/KRNW after leading award winning news operations as part of a career that has also included sports, operations, management, and sales at public and commercial radio stations in Texas, Kansas, and Nebraska.

A 1981 Northwest Missouri State University graduate, Oliver was deeply involved with KXCV and KDLX as a student, hosting music and news programs, calling sports broadcasts, and helping keep the station on the air after the 1979 Administration Building fire.

Oliver says his return is motivated by a desire to be closer to family and to give back to the university and the mentors who helped shape his broadcasting career.
