Monday's Maryville city council meeting (August 10) included a report on the economic impact of hosting this month's American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) tournament at the Mozingo Lake course.

City manager Ryan Heiland said the city generated $341,000 dollars. Direct visitor spending accounted for $138,000 dollars. And Maryville hotels booked 374 room nights.
19 states and four countries were represented in the AJGA Maryville junijor tournament, which generated 78 players and 320 net visitors.
