Data center opponents asked Nodaway County commissioners at their August 6th meeting for a copy of the development agreement submitted by Scale Microgrids.
Commissioners Chris Burns and Scott Walk said there was not much information, and they have multiple questions about the proposal.
Burns said the proposal is "really just saying this is where we're starting" and as soon as he looked at it "my whole page was (highlighted) yellow. This needs change, this needs altered (and) clarified."
Walk said the proposal "had so few details that I was stunned."
When opponents pressed to see the agreement, Walk brought up wanting to discuss it with the county attorney...something that was originally scheduled to take place the Thursday before but did not happen because there was not a quorum.
Presiding commissioner Bill Walker was absent at the August 6th meeting. And the Thursday before, only Burns met with the county attorney.
