The Maryville city council expresses no opposition to a request from Sunrise Dispensary to expand their hours.
An amended ordinance could be considered as early as the council's next regular meeting.

City code currently allows marijuana dispensaries to be open between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m.
The proposal calls for expanding hours to the same as liquor stores, which is between 6 a.m. and 1:30 a.m.
There was no opposition from Maryville police chief Mike Stolte, who said there was a benefit to expanding hours for shift workers who try to make a purchase during current business hours
Council members did discuss Sunrise following through on a prior agreement to pave their parking lot. City manager Ryan Heiland that has been discussed between store representatives and city staff.
Cities are allowed to set operating hours for marijuana dispensaries as part of constitutional amendments that were approved by voters in 2018 and 2022.
