There is more interest in building data centers in Nodaway County.
That's according to a news release that Nodaway County Economic Development (NCED) posted on its Facebook page Wednesday morning (July 29).
The notice from executive director Josh McKim says they have held preliminary conversations with representatives of two small scale projects.
McKim says the companies made the initial contact. Neither company was actively recruited by NCED, Nodaway County, or any city in the county.
McKim says both projects remain in the preliminary evaluation stage and available information is limited.
McKim says should either project advance, NCED will work to provide timely and accurate public updates while respecting applicable confidentiality requirements.
