Three classic cars and a SUV were totaled in a collision last Friday night (July 17) east of Cameron on old Highway 36. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports the 71 year old driver of a 1936 Chevrolet sedan was killed and a 65 year old passenger was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. That's after their car was struck head on by an oncoming SUV that crossed the center line. Also involved were a 1931 Chevrolet coupe and a 1973 Chevrolet Nova. No one in those cars and the 17 year old driver of the SUV were injured. No names were released.
The drivers of two vehicles involved in a collision Monday night (July 20) on Highway 136 in New Hampton were transported to area hospitals. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports a pickup truck made a left turn and struck the passenger side of a SUV. The 49 year old driver of the SUV sustained moderate injuries and the 56 year old driver of the pickup had minor injuries. No names were released.
A crash Sunday afternoon (July 19) on Highway 46 west of the Bilby Lake Camping Area in Atchison County sent one driver to the hospital. The Missouri Highway Patrol says a 47 year old woman from Maryville was transported with moderate injuries. She was driving a SUV that was cresting a hill as a pickup truck towing another vehicle was turning in front of her. The SUV struck the vehicle being towed and became fully engulfed. The driver of the pickup was not injured. No names were released.
Three Missouri Highway Patrol troopers and deputies from the Gentry County sheriff's officers responded to a one vehicle crash Saturday afternoon (July 18) on Highway F near Stanberry. A 22 year old man from Stanberry was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. That's after the SUV he was driving went off the highway, struck a culvert and overturned...coming to rest on the driver's side. The driver's name was not released.
