A Friday morning manhunt in Maryville has ended with three suspects in custody following a high-speed chase that began in Iowa and concluded in northwest Missouri.
According to the Nodaway County Sheriff’s Office, the pursuit ended near the intersection of U.S. Highways 71 and 136 on the east side of Maryville. The suspects fled the vehicle on foot, prompting a search involving multiple local law enforcement agencies.
Authorities initially advised residents to lock their homes and vehicles and report any suspicious activity. At one point, officials said they were searching for three individuals described as wearing a red or maroon jacket with black pants; a black hoodie with a white logo on the back and gold shoes; and a white-and-black jacket — white from the shoulders up and black from the shoulders down — with black pants.
Law enforcement provided updates throughout the morning as suspects were apprehended one by one. Two individuals were taken into custody first, followed shortly by the third.
By late morning, authorities confirmed all three suspects were in custody. No additional information about the suspects or potential charges was immediately available.
