Downtown Chillicothe will be buzzing this weekend as the community hosts its monthly Second Saturday event.
The initiative, held on the second Saturday of each month, features open businesses, retail and dining specials, and live entertainment. Tomorrow’s event marks the November edition and offers locals and visitors a chance to explore what downtown has to offer.
Chillicothe Tourism Director Amy Supple says the event serves as an open invitation to experience the heart of the city.
“That’s a community-wide initiative to just welcome locals as well as visitors to lots of different specials — retail, dining, live music, all kinds of different things happening every Second Saturday in Chillicothe,” Supple said.
Following this weekend’s festivities, the city’s tourism office and Chamber of Commerce will turn their focus to holiday programs and events that begin later in November and continue through the new year.
