More than 180 eighth graders spent the day touring local manufacturing sites and participating in hands-on career activities during Nodaway County’s Industry Day.
Students visited companies including Kawasaki Motors, Nucor L&P, and Laclede Chain, then explored booths at the Hughes Fieldhouse featuring local manufacturers, robotics demonstrations, and career development programs.
Kim Milward of Nodaway County Economic Development said the event helped students connect with local job opportunities and understand the skills needed for manufacturing careers as they begin planning for high school.
