Mosaic Medical Center in Maryville is hosting free pop-up prostate cancer screening events across the region.
September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and early detection of prostate cancer can greatly increase patient outcomes, preventing the progress of an aggressive disease. It is recommended that men over the age of 50 consider getting screened. It is a quick and easy procedure, involving only a blood test.
The screenings will occur on Tuesday, September 9th in Ravenwood at the MFA from 11 to 1 PM, on Monday the 29th at Consumer Oil in Maryville from 9 to 5 PM, and on Friday, October 3rd from 6 to 9 PM, at the Nodaway-Holt vs Platte Valley football game at the Nodaway-Holt High School football field.
No appointment is necessary.
