Owens Library to host 26th annual Brick & Click conference

Northwest Missouri State University’s B.D. Owens Library will host its 26th annual Brick & Click Academic Library Conference on Friday, Nov. 6, at the J.W. Jones Student Union on the university’s campus.

The one-day event brings together library professionals from across the country to explore current developments and challenges in academic libraries. Topics will include artificial intelligence, student engagement, library resources and technology, and collection management.

Brandy Brady, Northwest’s director of library services and operations, said the conference features presentations addressing the evolving needs of library professionals, including AI management, engaging patrons through programming and improving reference services.

The B.D. Owens Library offers extensive resources, including more than 123,000 print materials, nearly 66,675 electronic periodicals, and more than 330,000 eBooks and audiobooks through EBSCOhost and OverDrive. The facility also includes a Starbucks, lounge space, the Student Success Center, the Learning and Teaching Center, the Writing Center and the International Involvement Center.
