ATCHISON, Kan. — For just 24 hours on August 14, you can help 60+ local nonprofit organizations earn a share of $150,000 in matching funds during the sixth annual All Aboard Atchison Match Day.

Donors can participate in three ways:

• Give online at AllAboardAtchison.com from 12:00 a.m. until 11:59 p.m.
• Give in person during the Match Day Happy Hour from 4-7 p.m. at the Atchison Event Center.
• Mail a check and completed donation form to the Atchison Foundation at PO Box 387, Atchison, KS 66002. Mailed donations must be received by August 14, 2026.

Whether donors give online, attend in person, or mail their gifts in advance, the message is simple: show up, give, and help make every dollar go further for Atchison-area organizations.

Match Day brings the community together to support 60+ participating nonprofit organizations and charitable funds serving Atchison County. Each eligible donation earns a proportional share of the available matching funds, increasing its benefit to the organization selected by the donor.

Participating organizations address needs throughout the county, including food insecurity, education, health and human services, public art, historic preservation, recreation, senior services, and the care of public spaces. Match Day gives donors an opportunity to support the causes they already value—or discover a new organization making a difference.

The family-friendly Match Day Happy Hour also allows residents to meet representatives from participating organizations, learn about their work, and explore volunteer opportunities. For anyone wondering which programs serve older adults, where a student might complete volunteer hours, or how to become more involved locally, the event offers a chance to speak directly with the people behind the missions.

The community set a Match Day record in 2025, contributing more than 1,400 gifts. The Atchison Foundation hopes Atchison will build on that generosity in 2026.
