Elections officials around Missouri are told by the secretary of state to use 2022 congressional redistricting maps for the November general election.
That was further confirmed by Nodaway County Clerk Melinda Patton, who told KXCV-KRNW News Thursday (September 10) that "We are reverting back to the old map for the November Election based on today's court ruling. "
September 22nd is the first day Missouri residents can request an absentee ballot. The last day to register for the November 3rd election is October 7th.
In Nodaway County, the ballot will include the contested race for presiding commissioner.
Voters in White Cloud Township and the city of Barnard who live near the site of a proposed data center will have special questions.
Voters in the township will consider whether to adopt planning and zoning regulations. Planning and zoning in a township would be allowed because Nodaway County does not have countywide regulations.
Voters in Barnard are being asked whether to approve a $3 million dollar bond issue for new water and sewer plants. Revenue to pay those bonds would come from operating those new plants.
