Saturday's Northwest Missouri State's football first home game (September 12) is the first opportunity for fans to purchase alcohol.

Since the board of regents made that decision last December, athletic director Andy Peterson says the university and the new food service provider Elior have worked out details.

Peterson says beer and canned seltzer products will be sold at three locations that are not concession stands.

Alcohol sales start when the gates open and will stop at the end of the third quarter.

Each transaction has a maximum purchase of two drinks. And customers will have to show their I-D for each purchase.

There are no changes to the alcohol policy for tailgaters.

Peterson says there is one gameday change for fans. There is reserved season parking in lot 60 east of Hughes Fieldhouse. As of Thursday, (September 10), 80 spaces are still available and can be reserved online at bearcatsports.com.

Bill Oliver has returned to his alma mater as News Director for KXCV/KRNW after leading award winning news operations as part of a career that has also included sports, operations, management, and sales at public and commercial radio stations in Texas, Kansas, and Nebraska.

A 1981 Northwest Missouri State University graduate, Oliver was deeply involved with KXCV and KDLX as a student, hosting music and news programs, calling sports broadcasts, and helping keep the station on the air after the 1979 Administration Building fire.

Oliver says his return is motivated by a desire to be closer to family and to give back to the university and the mentors who helped shape his broadcasting career.
