The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded Saturday (September 5) during the midnight hour to a motorcycle crash on Highway 59 north of Tarkio. A 50 year old man from Shenandoah was flown to a hospital in Omaha with serious injuries. That's after the northbound motorcycle left the highway, went down an embankment, and struck a fence, ejecting the driver. The driver's name was not released.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded Friday afternoon (September 4) to a head on crash in Grundy County where one driver escaped injury and another driver sustained minor injuries. This happened on Highway 146 west of Brimson when a car driven by a 19 year old woman from Bethany was passing another vehicle on top of a hill when the car was struck by an oncoming pickup truck. The unidentified woman who was injured was taken to the hospital in Trenton. No names were released.
A two vehicle crash east of Tarkio Thursday morning (September 3) resulted in both drivers being taken to the hospital in Maryville with minor injuries. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says this happened on Highway 136 as an eastbound pickup was slowing down to make a left turn on Highway M. A SUV behind the pickup began passing the truck when the SUV struck the driver side of the truck. No names were released of the 29 year old Blanchard, Iowa man driving the truck and the 68 year old woman from Tarkio driving the SUV.
