The Missouri Department of Corrections is updating background checks for visitors and requiring new forms to be filled out.
The new regulations require that anyone who was younger than 18 years old before they applied and are now 18 or older must fill out a new application.
The new regulations also state that an approved visiting application approved three years ago or older must be resubmitted.
The Missouri Department of Corrections asks that applications be submitted soon before the new rules start on October 1st.
