Photo from the Gentry County, MO Sheriff's Office Facebook page.

A Facebook post by the Gentry County Sheriff’s Office has generated nearly 200 comments.

The post includes a picture of a political yard sign that was stolen.

The replies are in reaction to the sign, which is of an upside down American flag with the numbers 86 and 47.

The post says the investigation concerns the theft of private property and is being conducted regardless of the message or viewpoint displayed on the sign.

Anyone with information about the theft or the sign's current location is asked to call the Gentry County sheriff's office 660-726-3721, option 6 or send a message through Facebook Messenger.

Bill Oliver has returned to his alma mater as News Director for KXCV/KRNW after leading award winning news operations as part of a career that has also included sports, operations, management, and sales at public and commercial radio stations in Texas, Kansas, and Nebraska.

A 1981 Northwest Missouri State University graduate, Oliver was deeply involved with KXCV and KDLX as a student, hosting music and news programs, calling sports broadcasts, and helping keep the station on the air after the 1979 Administration Building fire.

Oliver says his return is motivated by a desire to be closer to family and to give back to the university and the mentors who helped shape his broadcasting career.
