As Missouri's August 4th primary and amendment election nears, a reminder that the period for "no excuse absentee voting" is underway.
In Nodaway County, county clerk Melinda Patton says voting hours continue through Friday (July 31) from 8 until 4:30 and this Saturday (August 1) from 8 until noon.

As of last Friday (July 24), Nodaway County had 12,949 voters. That's 19 more than the last mid-term election four years ago.
94 percent of registered voters have not declared a party affiliation. Nodaway County has registered 338 Republicans, 152 Democrats, 16 Libertarians, and 254 who marked unaffiliated on their card.
