Most buildings on the Northwest Missouri State campus will lose hot water Wednesday (July 22) as natural gas service will be turned off for approximately three hours.
This is part of the university's ongoing infrastructure modernization project.
Service will be interrupted in two shifts...the first starting between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. and the second shift beginning at 11:30 a.m.
News release from Northwest Missouri State University:
As Northwest progresses with heating upgrades during its infrastructure modernization project, gas service on the campus will be shut down tomorrow, July 22.
The shutdown will take approximately three hours and will be completed in two different shifts. During this time, the affected buildings listed below will lose hot water, and the J.W. Jones Student Union will not use gas cooking equipment.
All gas service is expected to be restored by the end of the day.
The following buildings will lose gas service between 7 and 8 a.m.
· Administration Building
· Garrett-Strong Science Building
· B.D. Owens Library
· The Station
· Tower Suites East
· Tower Suites West
· Millikan Hall
· Franken Hall
The following buildings will lose gas service at 11:30 a.m.
· J.W. Jones Student Union
· Colden Hall
· Robert and Virginia Foster Fitness Center
· Student Recreation Center
· Martindale Hall
· Lamkin Activity Center
