Coaches pick Bearcats 6th in MIAA Preseason Poll

Northwest Athletics
Northwest's 2024 First Team All-MIAA selection, Ximena Arnau, returners for her junior season.

MIAA soccer coaches picked Northwest Missouri State to finish in the middle of the pack during the 2025 campaign.

The Bearcats were selected sixth in the league's preseason rankings voted on by conference coaches.

Central Missouri topped the rankings with four first-place votes and 132 points, narrowly beating out Central Oklahoma who also garnered four first-place votes, but only 126 points.

The Bearcats banked the eighth winning record in program history, and fourth consecutive, with a 7-6-6 mark in 2024. That results landed Northwest sixth in the standings and a berth in the MIAA Tournament.

Northwest boasts 15 returners, including four All-MIAA selections in Ximena Arnau, Lily Ellis, Makenna West, and Moira Franck.

Practice for the fall season begins August 18, with the first match scheduled for September 5 at home against Northern State.
