Mosaic Medical Center Maryville's Shelby Wheeldon has received a national recognition.
The DAISY award is given to "extraordinary nurses and the superhuman efforts they perform everyday."
Shelby was nominated by a patient. If you have someone you believe is worthy of a DAISY award nomination, you can complete a nomination form on the Mosaic website at myMLC.com/daisy.
Honorees of the DAISY award receive a certificate commending their service, as well as a sculpture called "A Healer's Touch" which is hand-carved by the Shona tribe in Zimbabwe.
