As summer wraps up, the City of Maryville Parks and Recreation Department is bringing a number of construction projects to completion. Speaking at a meeting of the Maryville Town Council this week, Manager Ryan Heiland list the accomplishments at facilities across town:
Heiland says, " Asphalt projects at the Community Center, Beal Park, and Donaldson West Side are completed. The Juda Park Bridge project is complete. New park signage has been installed at Thompson slash pad, Maryville Aquatic Center, and Beal Park. Construction at the Sunrise Park is scheduled to begin this week, weather permitting."
The Sunrise Dog Park is scheduled to open sometime this fall.
Maryville Parks and Rec is also working to convert tennis courts at Beal Park into pickle courts. That project is still in the engineering and design phase, but will go to bid for contracters sometime this fall. According to the parks and rec department, construction should take place next spring with the courts ready to open shortly thereafter.
