The Fall sports season at Northwest Missouri State is underway with each team seeing their first action last weekend, except the volleyball team, which played in its second tournament of the season last week.

On the second installment of the KXCV-KRNW Bearcat Coaches Show, Bearcat volleyball head coach Amy Woerth joined the show after posting a 5-3 record through the first two weeks of the season. Northwest will play in Wichita at the Jet Classic this weekend.

Northwest soccer is 1-1 through its first two matches of the Mark Gordon era. First a 2-1 win over William Jewell, followed by a 2-1 decision in favor of Rockhurst last Wednesday. The team's next match, this Friday against Truman State, has been moved from Bearcat Pitch to the turf field at Chillicothe High School. Gordon and junior Emily Madden discussed the early season matches on the program with John Coffey.

Bearcat football is off to a 1-0 start, and is now facing its first road contest of the season Thursday night. Northwest travels to Topeka, Ks. for a matchup with Washburn. Head coach Rich Wright and senior offensive lineman Zach Flott broke down the opening win and the upcoming game with the Ichabods on the show.
