The Northwest Missouri State women's basketball team came away with a 94-89 victory in tonight's season opener against Southwest Minnesota State.  

Molly Harnett led the way with 27 points for the Bearcats. Kelsey Fields had a new career-high 22 points and 16 rebounds.  

Northwest will be back in action Saturday at 5:00 p.m., for the second game of the SMSU Classic against Minnesota-Crookston.  Tune in to KXCV-KRNW and the Bearcat Public Media app starting at 4:50.
