Northwest Missouri State never led during regulation, but they jumped in front of Emporia State in overtime en route to a 55-48 win Saturday afternoon.

The Bearcats (9-2, 4-2 MIAA) tied the Hornets 46-46 with a free throw from Laini Joseph with 1:16 remaining in the fourth quarter. Northwest took the lead just 16 seconds into overtime on a jump shot by Molly Hartnett. Emporia scored two points in the final 9:48 of the game.
