Northwest Missouri State stifled Central Missouri throughout the day en route to a 24-7 victory Saturday afternoon at Bearcat Stadium.

Despite a weather delay of an hour and a half, the Bearcats (3-0) came out ready to roll.

Defensive lineman Elijah Green spent much of the afternoon in the backfield racking up a career-high four sacks, just 0.5 off the Northwest single-game record. Green also had a quarterback hit in the second half that led to Sam Phillips' interception.

On the day, UCM finished with -3 rushing yards, and only racked up 103 total yards on the day.

Jamar Moya paced the Bearcat offense with 23 touches and 159 all-purpose yards on the day. He found the end zone both as a runner and as a receiver in the win.

Northwest will be on the road next Saturday to face Central Oklahoma. Pregame on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9 begins at 1pm, followed by the opening kick at 2pm.
