Northwest had Pittsburg State on the ropes in the final seconds from Bearcat Arena Saturday afternoon, but the Gorillas hit a clutch three as time expired in regulation to send the game to overtime, then hung on for a 77-76 win.

The Bearcats (11-15, 6-11 MIAA) held one of the top scoring offenses in the conference to just 66 points in regulation, but were outscored 11-10 in the overtime period. Northwest also played the final five minutes without junior guard Jaelyn Haggard after she fouled out late in regulation.

The game featured 18 lead changes and eight ties.

Mallory McConkey was the game's leading scorer with 22 points in 41 minutes of action.

Kendey Eaton scored 19 points in the loss, and Jayna Green chipped in with 11 points, nine rebounds and two blocked shots.
