The KXCV Bearcat Coaches Show featured football, soccer and tennis Thursday night as two of those fall sports head toward the final stretch of the regular season, and one fall sport came to a close within the last week.

Franco Oliva reached new heights for Northwest men's tennis with a third place finish in the ITA Championships from Rome, Georgia. Oliva entered the tournament of eight players as an underdog and knocked off the No. 4 seed on the opening day. He fell to the No. 1 overall seed, but finished strong with a win in his final match of the fall. Oliva spoke with John Coffey about the successful season.

Bearcat soccer landed its first MIAA win under head coach Marc Gordon last Sunday with a 3-2 victory over Southwest Baptist. Northwest improved to 1-6 in conference play, and is prepping for a weekend with matches against Central Oklahoma and Northeastern State. Gordon and Coffey discussed the winning weekend during the Coaches Show.

Northwest football improved to 6-1 with a 27-13 win over Nebraska Kearney last Saturday. Now they're turning their attention to a road game with Lindenwood. Maryville native and junior running back Brody McMahon joined the show to discuss the team's mindset through seven weeks, and head coach Rich Wright gave a preview of the road battle in St. Charles.
