The final week of September brings Northwest Missouri State volleyball home for the first time this fall, and it sends Bearcat football to its home away from home.

Northwest volleyball spent the first 15 matches of the season on the road, but they're finally returning to the friendly confines of Bearcat Arena. Amy Woerth's club hosts Southwest Baptist on Friday at 7pm, then Missouri Southern on Saturday afternoon at 2pm. Libero Olivia Nowakowski has grown into a leader for the 2017 Bearcats, and even set the program's single-match digs record with 47 against Arkansas Fort Smith earlier this season. Nowakowski and Woerth joined the Bearcat Coaches Show Thursday evening to discuss the start to the season, and finally returning home for a pair of MIAA matches. Listen to their full interviews above.

Northwest Missouri State football meets Central Missouri at a neutral site on Saturday with the return of the Fall Classic at Arrowhead Stadium. The 'Cats are 10-3 all-time at Arrowhead, including nine wins against Pittsburg State and one against the Mules. That victory against UCM came in 2016, a 42-17 decision in week five. Northwest enters that game as the top-ranked team in the nation, and they're coming off their most decisive victory of the season -- a 63-0 drubbing of Missouri Southern. Bearcat head football coach Rich Wright and senior safety Eddie Richey stopped by the Bearcat Coaches Show Thursday evening to discuss the Fall Classic. Hear the full interviews above.
