Despite a second straight double-double from Tanya Meyer, Northwest Missouri State women's basketball dropped its second straight game Saturday afternoon at the SBU Tip-Off Classic in Bolivar, Mo.

Henderson State (1-1) led Northwest (0-2) for the final three quarters en route to a 73-65 win.

The Bearcats trailed by seven points midway through the first quarter, but used a 9-1 run to take a 13-12 lead at the end of the period. The Reddies jumped back in front on the first possession of the second quarter, and never looked back.

Meyer led Northwest with 21 points and 18 rebounds. She's posted a double-double in each of the first two games of her senior season.

Arbrie Benson contributed 17 points, six rebounds and five assists off the bench.

The Bearcats play their first home action of the season on November 15 against Peru State. Tip off is set for 7pm. Pregame on the Bearcat Radio Network will begin at 6:40pm.
