Northwest 46, Fort Hays State 75

Northwest struggled to score in the first half Saturday and never recovered as Fort Hays earned a 75-46 win.

The Bearcats (1-17, 0-10 MIAA) were just 4-26 from the field and 0-11 on three-pointers in the first two quarters, and trailed 40-15 at halftime.

Kaylani Maiava was the only Bearcat scoring in double-figures with 13 points and nine rebounds. Mallory McConkey and Tanya Meyer added six points apiece.

Northwest returns home Saturday for a rivalry game against Missouri Western. Game time is 1:30pm. Pregame on KXCV-KRNW is set for 1:10pm.
