Northwest spring sports begin to take off as the basketball season winds down on the latest edition of the KXCV Bearcat Coaches Show from Carson's Sports Grille.

The Northwest men's and women's basketball teams began a road trip through Kansas on Wednesday with a game at Emporia State, and wrap it up Saturday at Washburn. John Coffey sat down to discuss the Sunflower State swing with Ben McCollum and Dray Starzl of the men's team and Buck Scheel of the women's squad.

The spring golf season begins in a little more than a month with the MIAA Spring Tournament in St. Joseph on March 19 and 20. Head coach Andy Peterson and senior Gia Zupancic joined John Coffey to chat about the upcoming season.
