Aug. 15, 2025REYKJAVIK, Iceland
Caely Kesten finished her time in Maryville as one of Northwest's top shooters.
Northwest Missouri State women's basketball sharpshooter Caely Kesten signed a professional contract to continue playing overseas.
Kesten will play for IR Reykjavik in Iceland during the upcoming season.
"It is surreal to get this opportunity," Kesten said. "It’s something you dream of but to actually happen is insane."
The Denver, CO native capped her college career averaging 14 points per game as a senior, and was one of the top three-point shooters in the country hitting 43% of her long-range attempts.
Kesten's 190 career three-point makes rank third all-time in Bearcat history. She's second in career three-point percentage at 38.6%.
The five-foot-eight guard says she signed with an agent after last season, and continued to play to stay sharp. It was just last week that she got the call that IR Reykjavik was interested, and a few days later offered her a contract.
"I’ve also dreamt of living in another country, but didn't know how or when it would happen, so I’m very blessed to be here and have this opportunity."
