This Week in Northwest Missouri State University History

Looking at this week in Northwest History, on this day in 2013, the Safe Ride program began utilizing the shuttle service vehicles in a bus route style.

Earlier this week on Monday the 11th, in 1938 the plans for a new library was approved. Wells Library opened the next year in 1939. Wells then became the Communications and Mass Media building years later, which houses the on-air studios for KXCV/KRNW.

And this Saturday the 16th, in 1908 construction on the Administration Building continued after the state legislature passed an appropriation bill for funding of the Normal School which is now Northwest.
