The Missouri Department of Conservation is hosting a virtual event this Saturday July 19th to teach individuals about the monarch butterflies of Missouri. The virtual event will take place from 10 AM - 11 AM.
This course will discuss the importance of monarchs in Missouri, which is a major migration ground for the species.
You will learn about why they depend on 13 native species of Milkweed found across the state and how to grow the native plants at home to help the butterflies.
This course is intended for ages 18 and older, and registration is required.
A WebEx link will be sent to registered participants prior to the program.
You can Register at the Missouri Department of Conservation website under the Events tab or here.
