Planned construction on Interstate 229 in St. Joseph

Road Work Ahead sign

Construction scheduled to start yesterday has been delayed until next Monday.

A section of Interstate 229 in St Joseph will be undergoing resurfacing. Crews will start Monday, July 21 and will work during daylight hours Mondays through Saturdays until work is completed.

During this period of construction, traffic will be reduced to one lane, motorists should expect delays in their travels.

The project is expected to be completed by October. All work by construction crews is weather-permitting and can change.

MoDOT asks drivers to be cautious while driving in work zones and keep phones down and eyes on the road.
