New designations in Missouri

What else among the bills recently signed into law by Governor Kehoe, following this year's legislative session? A whole new set of designated days, events and places in Missouri.

September is now Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.

Waverly is now the state's Official Apple Capital, and Branson is the official Live Entertainment Capital.

Coming up on August 6th is Chris Sifford Day, also his birthday, which honors a politcal staffer who lost his life in a plane crash. State Senator Tracy McCreery sponsored the legislation.

The bill also named an official state of Missouri rock radio station. That's KSHE 95 in the St Louis Area. But, clearly, state lawmakers have never hear Rhythm n' Roots here on KXCV-KRNW.
