The Missouri Department of Transportation has begun a major resurfacing project running through the center of Chillicothe. Highway 65, which functions as the City's Main north-south thoroughfare is getting resurfaced over the coming weeks. Night work will narrow the road to one lane from north of Route 190 to Route 36 on the south end of the City.
No parking is permitted along the roadway between 8 pm and 6 am nightly, which are the scheduled work hours. The closures began this week and will run through Mid-July, if the weather cooperates.
