The Missouri Department of Conservation is offering a free program about companion planting using native plants. Offered both in-person and virtually, the program will teach you about incorporating native plants into fruit and vegetable gardens to help improve produce yield and soil health. The class will highlight how native flowers can attract more pollinators to a yard or garden.

This will take place June 28th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Buur Oak Woods Conservation Nature Center in Blue Springs.

To register for the in-person session or virtual program go to the events page of the Missouri Department of Conservation website.

Participation is limited to those 18 and older. For questions and more information email Assistant Nature Center Manager Stephanie Kemp at stephanie.kemp@mdc.mo.gov
