The Missouri Department of Conservation is offering a virtual program this afternoon to teach people about caves and the animals that live in them. The on-line program, "Caves: Springtime in the Dark," is open to people of all ages and begins at 3 P.M. Attendees will learn about cave habitats and what happens in a Missouri cave during the spring, including fun facts about bats and other animals that utilize caves throughout the year.
The class is free but registration is required through the Missouri Department of Conservation website at MDC.mo.gov. Under events, click virtual events and search for Caves.
