Substitute bus driver has been placed on administrative leave

The Chillicothe R-2 School District and the Chillicothe Police Department are investigating an incident involving a substitute school bus driver.

According to reports, several students said the driver made inappropriate and threatening remarks while transporting them on Friday. The school district immediately removed the driver from duty and contacted law enforcement.

The driver has been placed on administrative leave and is currently being questioned by Chillicothe Police and the School Resource Officer.

Officials say student safety is their top priority. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities interviewing students and reviewing available evidence.
