A serious ATV crash in Andrew County sent two people to the hospital Monday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash happened around 4:25 PM on County Road 363. A 78-year-old man from St. Joseph was driving a 2000 Kawasaki KVF 400 westbound when he lost control of the vehicle. The ATV went off the south side of the road, struck a tree, and overturned, coming to rest on its top.
The driver and a 6-year-old male passenger, also from St. Joseph, were both seriously injured. They were taken by Andrew County EMS to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph for treatment.
According to the report, both occupants had moved from the vehicle before officers arrived.
The Andrew County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
